This is without a doubt one of the very best GUIs I've ever laid my eyes on. It offers a one glance view of Google news, and let's you play with the news' categories, geography, and age.
Marcos Weskamp's design genius becomes clear if you compare his design with a variation delivered by Hives Group for NewsIsFree (maybe a strange name for a company delivering premium news services...):
